Be it a quiet oasis or refuge for mindfulness , an area shaped around it ’ s mental health benefits and sensory aspects or a place to grow edibles for your table , this years Beautiful Borders are bursting with inspiration . In the Pink

Pink is my favourite colour , scented flowers are my joy , and painting flowers is my escape . My Border will encapsulate all three of these things with bright pink flower colour fusing to white pink with many scented blooms . My Border will include glass art and an area for an artist to paint . There will be roses and peonies , annuals and perennials and the odd vegetable . Colour affects our energies and emotions . By exploring pink in all is shades , I am creating space for visitors to absorb and assess how that colour makes them feel .

This garden has been inspired by the escapism created by the symbiotic relationship between the gardener , the garden and origins and health of the plants used . It indulges a sense of nostalgia , with reclaimed and repurposed materials which create a calm of a simpler way of life . It celebrates British grown plants from independent nurseries along with family run small business which create amazing features . This space is for the hands on gardener , who finds their peace in getting their hands dirty , the engagement with plants and the joy their prosperity brings . Whilst nourishing the environment and it ’ s needs , it nourishes you .
