Urban Oasis
Urban oasis is a dynamic garden which supports wildlife from the ground up , a haven , a home and a connection between other neighbourhood spaces .
The design centres on an unfurling fern , created with ‘ fronds ’ of low-growing planting and gravel , wrapped around a wildlife pond . Alongside , a quiet zone , edged with sculptural bee-hotel posts made from recycled wood , provides plenty of shelter and food for all kinds of creatures . ‘ Hedgehog highway holes ’ in the bottom of the fences complete the story .
After the show , the garden will move to the Wildlife Trust centre at Parkridge .
