Views of the dramatic scenery gradually fade from the foreground into the background and this is reflected in the careful placement of rocks and background screens . The paved meditation platform is surrounded by a stone lined rainwater balancing pool that collects water for re-use . A feeling of enclosure and intimacy through planting ensures that this retreat provides solace and encourages inspirational memories of mythical mountains .
