Metamorphosis garden is designed to mark ‘ change ’, including the transition of the MSSociety to the Neurological Centre .“ If nothing ever changed , there ’ d be no butterflies ” – unknown .
Enter the walled garden through the butterfly gates and follow the inlaid caterpillar pebbles in the raised borders . The paving includes a proboscis-shaped channel . Under the pergola is a chrysalis-shaped seat , adjacent to some moss art / rockwork in the shape of a human brain . The walls include tiled trees , resembling nerve dendrites . The planting scheme is designed to attract butterflies and create a sensory experience .
