The inspiration behind this garden is the need to reduce plastics – we are trying to demonstrate what can be achieved by reducing the use of plastics in our everyday , gardening life . Using a range of materials to create a contemporary scheme with plenty of interest and unique features , but without plastic . A low maintenance gravel garden feature dominants the front area , containing various drought tolerant plants amongst the selection that will encourage pollinators into the garden . A roofed pergola adds shelter , also connecting the boundary walls softened by a hedge . Arches guide you in and out of the space , via a paved path cutting through the gravel . Low carbon containers will be used to decorate .
