Dear Guests , Bay Club and Newport Beach Country Club Members , The Porte Cochere Holiday tree is twinkling , sparkling decorations can be found throughout the resort and our Christmas spirit is abundant as we approach the end of a challenging 2020 ! We have so much to be thankful for even during these tough times and I am counting my blessings as I look around this gorgeous property overlooking one of the most iconic bays on the West Coast .
While there may have been random dustings of hail / snow in Newport Beach over the decades , Balboa Bay Resort will be boasting poolside snowfall every Friday and Saturday night in December with our “ Winter Wonderland ” overnight promotion . Package guests can enjoy watching a holiday movie on their very own cozy poolside daybed complete with a holiday treat basket and a warm Balboa Bay Resort blanket – topped off with two after-movie smoked whiskey cocktails at A & O Kitchen + Bar . As a Balboa Bay Club member , we invite you to make reservations to join for complimentary Poolside Holiday Movies .
If you have not already made plans to watch the Boat Parade , we are streaming it live on the poolside screens December 16-20 . Or you can watch it up close and personal at A & O Kitchen + Bar while enjoying one of our new craft holiday cocktails , a smoked whiskey or the ever popular bottle service by one of our toasty firepits .
Finally , I am thrilled to congratulate this year ’ s “ Dynamic Women of Orange County ” which will be unveiled in the December issue of Modern Luxury Magazine . We were honored to have been chosen as the site for the magazine backdrop and photo shoot of these extraordinary women and I tip my hat to each one of them !
