Now I have a question for all you readers . Do you believe in coincidences ? Remember this as I proceed with my story .
Since I have known the Thomas family for years , I had no need to get in touch with them except to decide on shoot time for the article and go to the club to arrange for clothing for them .
The Schaumburgs were different . I did not know them , so I called and chatted with Jennifer who I asked if that was the name she preferred , to which she said , “ No , I like Jen .” Okay , Jennifer Thomas also prefers to go by Jen . Next , I asked about family — “ We have three children ,” Jen says — oh , another thing in common for the two couples . Next Jen says , “ We have two boys and a girl .” Here we go , Brian and Jen have two boys and a girl . But here comes the stunner , Jen says , “ They ’ re triplets ” … the Thomas children are also TRIPLETS ! Amazing that out of all the couples at the two clubs , I choose these two ! I looked up a bit of history as far as triplets go .
Triplets are less common than twins . According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention , triplets account for only about 4,300 sets in 3.9 million births , just a little more than 0.1 % or 1 in 1000 . Amazing coincidence ? Go figure .
