Dear NBCC Members ,
The first known occurrence where people gathered for a concert-type event took place at a violinist ’ s home in London in 1672 . Six years later , in 1678 , a man began to organize weekly concerts in Clerkenwell , where an annual subscription of 10 shillings per year would allow an attendee to see as many concerts as they wanted .

In addition , the late 17th century would also see concerts going to the people . In France , concerts were performed in the homes of nobility , for nobility only . The first known public concerts took place in France as well , often held on religious holidays when the opera was closed , and became a model for other concert societies throughout the world .
On July 10 , the club will host our own concert on the Oasis Lawn . This show , with a street / family fair theme , will be our summer Member Appreciation event and is complimentary for all members — no shillings or nobility required .
Flashback Heart Attack , an ' 80s cover band that puts on an incredible show with high levels of energy and passion , will headline the Family Fair and Concert . The band plays close to 100 shows per year and headlines major events for leading Fortune 500 companies and charity fundraisers worldwide .
Flashback Heart Attack has played events with talented artists and groups such as Clint Black , Sammy Hagar , Sheryl Crow , Night Ranger , Extreme , The Foo Fighters , Juliette Lewis , Steel Panther , Joan Jett and the Blackhearts , Violent Femmes , Billy Squire , The Beach Boys , KC & The Sunshine Band , Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe , Daughtry , Collective Soul and Maroon 5 .
