Battling BARE's Teal Star: The #PTSD Magazine Volume 3, December 2014 | Page 4

If your family is anything like ours, we nearly always have our phones close to us. We also love to play to games, but are forever losing the pieces or forgetting to bring a game to parties, and inevitably one or more of us are on our phones playing some game or another. So, we thought, "HEY! Let's find games we can play on our phones together!"

So, the following is a list of games that are free--though most allow for in app purchases to add cards or categories or whatever. We've tried them all--and not only love them but think you will love them too. We've played heads up with our 3 children--ages 6, 11 and 13 at restaurants while waiting for our food to arrive (because, let's face it, those little coloring books only work for so long).

2Hear Say: A Social Party Game

Hearsay is a hilarious & imaginative party game where 3 to 6 players discover witty shared social perceptions and argue over uproarious details. It’s a mashup of concepts inspired by Cards Against Humanity and Imaginiff.

You must be in the same room as the other players. This is a game for real life

friends. It's like a board game.

Hearsay is designed to be played together as a group. Each player needs an Android or iOS device (phone or tablet). Get 2 or more friends together and start laughing. Score points by agreeing with each other. Convince the judge for additional points. Don’t like what someone said about you? Throw virtual tomatoes or watermelons at their face.

How to Play:

✓ Snag 2 nearby friends with Android or iOS. Congrats, you’re now players.

✓ A judge reads a question card. eg: “You feel an urge to twerk. Where do

you express yourself?”

✓ Each player selects an answer card. eg: “The Vatican”, “Kindergarten

classroom”, “The VMAs” , etc.

✓ Agreeing players score points.

✓ Use your superior intellect to convince the judge you’re right and earn more points.
