LAKE OF THE OZARKS PLAYS HOST TO 2023 TBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Some of the nation ’ s best grassroots anglers and coanglers are gearing up for a battle on Lake of the Ozarks . March 29-31 will bring over 100 anglers to the Ozark Mountains for the 2023 The Bass Federation ( TBF ) National Championship to compete for the richest prize pool available to the country ’ s everyday tournament anglers .
Fifty-one boaters and 51 co-anglers from all over the U . S . ( and Canada ) spent their 2022 TBF seasons fighting to qualify for a three-day event that could change the trajectory of their fishing lives forever .
While these 102 anglers aren ’ t professionals ( yet ), they ’ ve each scratched and clawed their way to central Missouri through increasingly competitive qualifying stages . From being one of the best in their respective states to winning their National Semi-Final , there ’ s no question that the
2023 National Championship field has earned the right to compete in this high-level event .
“ The National Championship is all about once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for anglers ,” said Robert Cartlidge , TBF National President . “ We have tens of thousands of TBF members , and these anglers had to qualify through their state and then through a National Semi-Final just to get here . By the time they make it through the ringer that is the qualifying process , they ’ re all pretty good sticks .”
