FOUR AND COUNTING FOR FLORIDA PROS
Question of the day: anglers from which state have accounted for the most wins in the Forrest Wood cup?
the answer is Florida, whose fishermen have taken home four cups over the years. the sunshine state dominance
started with steve daniel in 1996 and include s scott martin in 2011, randall tharp in 2013 and John cox in 2016.
granted, tharp (an alabama transplant) wasn’t originally from Florida, but he was living there at the time of his cup win.
no other state comes close to matching Florida in the count. south carolina, missouri and arkansas have two apiece.
