That’s when Lambert decided to
have a little fun.
“How big was that fish, Bryan?” he
casually asked his fellow competitor,
loud enough so everyone could hear.
“Oh, 2, maybe 2 1/2 pounds,”
Thrift replied upon reaching the
front deck after putting the bass in
the livewell.
“Yeah, and I’ve got only one fish in
my box,” Lambert jokingly shot back.
“That’s part of that mind game,”
New says. “He’s not lying to lie to
you. He’s doing it for himself.”
