CUP HISTORY
T
he cup has been held at Lake
ouachita three times, in 2007, 2011
and 2015. each of those tournaments
was held in August.
Several of this year’s cup competitors
who fished those events will need to factor
in their own fishing histories on the lake,

The wild card is the new grass in the lake
and some uncertainty about how it will
weather temperature and water level fluc-
tuations of late spring and summer. Grass
might create a much different playing field
that could leave an angler who “fishes
memories” with some regrets.
pre-tournament scouting expeditions will
be critical, if for nothing else than to gauge
the water level and grass conditions. A look
at past results also will be important. here’s
what went down the last three times hot
Springs and Lake ouachita hosted the cup.
