RANGER BOATS HOSTS TBF
CHAMPIONSHIP, PROVIDES
COMPETITION BOATS
L
ongtime The Bass Federation sponsor Ranger Boats
hosted the 2018 TBF National Championship and pro-
vided competitors with the state-of-the-art fishing plat-
forms upon which to pursue their championship dreams.
Based in Flippin, Ark., a short way from Bull Shoals
Lake, the legendary boat maker opened its doors to
championship qualifiers and their families Tuesday, April
10 for the welcome banquet and rules briefing.
Much to the delight of the championship anglers, and
with help from TBF sponsors Ranger, Evinrude, Lowrance,
Minn Kota and Power-Pole, each of the boaters was also
provided with a brand-new, fully loaded Ranger Z520L to
use during the competition.
“Ranger’s Z Comanche L Series is built for tournament
bass fishing,” says TBF President and CEO Robert
Cartlidge. “Designed to be the most performance-mind-
ed, angler-friendly and feature-rich rigs in the 20-foot
class, these new boats were a perfect fit for TBF anglers
competing for the national crown.”
The event was also a great chance to honor the 50th
anniversary of both Ranger Boats and The Bass
Federation.
“The first Federation club [the Chattanooga Bass Club]
was formed in 1968, the same year Ranger was founded,”
Cartlidge says. “For five decades, Ranger Boats and TBF
have worked to support fishing, youth, conservation and
grassroots bass fishing.
“Ranger Boats is our oldest and longest-running spon-
sor,” he adds. “The 2018 Federation National
Championship helped us celebrate our relationship and
shared heritage.”
