stat line: prvonozac has fished at nearly every level of flw competition. In addition
to his recent grand lake victory, he also has two t-h Marine flw bass fishing league
wins to his credit.
Winning baits
Prvonozac, for the most
part, used a 4 1/4-inch YUM
Vibra King Tube (green pump-
kin) with 3/16- and 1/4-ounce
weights as well as a Smithwick
Rattlin’ Rogue (bream). He
fished shoreline cover and
spawning flats. He occasional-
ly fished a jig.

Weather | stormy (day two was cancelled due to thunderstorms), with heavy rainfall
air temperature | 64 degrees heading into the tournament; a high of 48 degrees on

Water temperature | 60 to 65 degrees
Water clarity | muddy in the rivers; stained down to about Honey Creek; clear on the
lower end

Prvonozac focused on
main-lake coves and pockets
on Grand’s lower end where
bass were spawning. He had
marked a few beds during
the practice period, but sight-
fishing was difficult due to
the dark, cloudy, rainy condi-
tions. Instead of relying total-
ly on sight-fishing, Prvonozac
began pitching the tube to
places where he knew there
were beds. Many of his tar-
gets were located in little
nooks and crevices in the
bank as well as behind float-
ing docks and piers.
Presentation keys
Prvonozac chose to alter-
nate between two YUM Vibra
King rigs. One was rigged on
a flipping stick with a 1/4-
ounce weight and 16-pound-
test Silver Thread fluorocar-
bon. His second option was
rigged on a spinning rod with
a 3/16-ounce weight and 10-
pound-test Silver Thread flu-
