Columbia, S.C.
Founded in 1786 at the site of a former fort and
ferry crossing along the Congaree River, Columbia is
the largest city in South Carolina and the state capital.
It’s home to the 2015 and 2016 YETI FLW College
Fishing National Champions from the University of
South Carolina.
Highway 391
Anything upstream
of the bridges is “river.”
Downstream is “lake.”
The Upper Third
East of 391 and west of Acapulco
Marina is the upper lake. Expect 2 feet
to a few feet of visibility here.
Laydowns
There’s plenty of
wood to flip, with large
flats full of laydowns and
logs up the rivers.
Grass
Areas with emergent grasses
such as water willow, primrose and
alligator weed are expanding.
