WHO IS THE BEST DOCK SKIPPER ALIVE?
bt: Andy Montgomery. I think he is so good at
it because that’s all he does.
WAS THERE MORE PRESSURE AT THE
WALMART FLW TOUR INVITATIONAL AT
NORMAN, BEING A LOCAL FAVORITE?
bt: Surprisingly, no. I felt really relaxed and
calm for some reason.
FISHING, HUNTING OR SOMETHING
ELSE IN THE OFF-SEASON?
bt: I fish as much as I can during the off-sea-
son. I fish local tournaments, work trade
shows and spend time with my family.
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FLY-CAST?
bt: I haven’t ever tried it and really never had
the desire to do it.
IF YOU COULD TAKE ONE FAMOUS
ATHLETE FISHING, WHO WOULD IT BE?
bt: Tony Hawk. I used to be into skateboard-
ing when I was younger.
HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU
FISHED YOUR FIRST TOURNAMENT?
bt: I had to be around 16 or 17, and it was a
small club tournament.
WHAT’S YOUR FIRST FISHING MEMORY?
bt: I was 6 or 7, and my dad, Tommy, took my
cousin, Curtis, and me down to the creek to
fish for catfish. He was so worried about us
falling in, and he ended up falling in himself.
WHAT’S THE STRANGEST THING YOU
HAVE EVER CAUGHT?
THRIFT
bt: A rod and reel combo.
