WALK THE DOG
Normally, when an
angler recalls an on-the-
water experience involv-
ing “walking the dog,” he’s
talking about a topwater
bait. But not in the case
of this Cody Meyer fish
catch from day two of the
FLW Tour event at the
Potomac River in June.
Meyer landed the keeper
with an assist from
Maryland co-angler
Richard Roselle as some
local spectators who were
walking their dog
watched from shore.
For Meyer, the
Potomac event put the
finishing touches on
another successful sea-
son. He wound up fourth
at the finale and sixth in
the Angler of the Year
standings. Meyer will fish
his ninth consecutive
Forrest Wood Cup this
month.
