ach year, the best bass anglers from throughout FLW’s tournament ranks gather togeth-
er at the end of the tournament season to fish for the title of Forrest Wood Cup cham-
pion. The annual showdown is one of the toughest in fishing to qualify for, and the late-
summer conditions and pressure of the championship make winning the Cup one of the
greatest challenges in fishing.
Then there’s the quality of the competitors in the field, which amplifies the challenge. This
year’s roster includes five former Forrest Wood Cup champions, seven FLW Tour Anglers of
the Year, one Bassmaster Classic winner and three BFL All-American winners, along with
FLW’s first International Division qualifier, Hyo Chul Kim of South Korea.
