3. 4. reel Wrap the leader’s tag end around the braid, paying attention to which side of the standing line you pass by. 5. Continue wrapping back and forth. 7. Repeat this process until you’ve wrapped the leader 30 times total, crossing 15 times on each side. The braid should be pulled along with the wraps, creating a smooth, straight knot. If at any time the braid becomes too taut, loosen the drag and feed slack. 72 Wrap the leader around the braid again, this time passing by the standing line on the opposite side. Think “over then under.” 6. Keep some tension on the leader as you wrap to avoid bunching, and make sure the braid isn’t completely taut. 8.
