TOUR LIFE WINNING TECHNIQUES cosTa FLW sErIEs | lake aMIstad – Jan. 3-5, 2019 Winning pattern 38 lbs ray Hanselman, del Rio, texas with day one cancelled due to bad weather, Ray hanselman stepped on the gas on day two en route to weighing in 25-15 – the same amount as runner-up tyson patrick’s two-day total. hanselman blew away the field on his home lake by camp- ing on a grass-lined ditch in the mouth of a prominent spawning area. on day two, he cast a strike king 5Xd to high spots in the grass, but during the post-frontal condi- tions of day three hanselman had to pluck them off the bottom. he used the crankbait, a suspending jerkbait fished with 10-second pauses and a drop-shot with a strike king kVd dream shot. his 38-pound total was more than 12 pounds better than second place.
