Bagging a Win
I had a fantastic fishing weekend at Fortuna dam starting off with the Friday getting a few spots as I didn't know the dam. Fishing was slow the friday and I got about 3 spots that produced fish. I got one nice bass of 1.5kg on friday at one of the spots. Saturday morning the comp started and I headed off to the spot where I got the big one on Friday. Was a bit worried seeing 3 quaters of the field move up to the river, but i stuck to my plan as fished my spot. I landed a 1.3kg about an hour after the comp started and I was feeling good.
I fished the other spots I planned to fish, and they produced. Small fish, but I was catching fish regularly where Nico and I started fishing. I got my bag up to about 3.7kg about an hour fishing the same spot.
My 1st time catching bass at a competition and culling a 1kg+ Bass every half an hour to an hour.
Will fish the Fortuna Venue anyday again.
I just want to say thanks to the TBC Organisers for the Great venue that we had to fish and then to Nico Mathee who is my fishing partner and who has taught me all there is to know about this fantastic sport.
