Bass Digest : What else does your website have available to tournament entrants?
Hugo & Paul : Our website provides and interactive online community (forum) who are always willing to share information. We also host our scores and leaderboards on the site. Registered members on our site are able to gain access to contour maps of a few of the venues we fish.
Bass Digest : What is the biggest turnout the Bass Challenge has had to date?
Hugo & Paul : It was Murray Park in 2013, we had a massive turnout of 71 competitors. Conditions were tough and 2/3 of the field blanked.
Bass Digest : What venue's does the Bass Challenge make use of?
Hugo & Paul : We have numerous venues we make use of for our tournaments and we circulate between Boskop, Klerkskraal, Rietspruitdam, Buffelspoort Dam, Fortuna Dam, Murray Park, Potchefstroom Dam and Nigel Dam.
It is difficult to secure additional venues as we have to make sure the venues are able to accommodate our numbers and are safe for our competitors. Croc free waters are essential for our kickboaters.
We recently found Fortuna Private Resort which is on the banks of the Suikerbosrant River, and it has quickly become another great venue that we have added to our line up.
We are however always on the lookout for new venues.
