A COZY FAMILY BASEMENT GETS A COLORFUL MAKEOVER
INSPIRED BY SOUTHERN DESTINATIONS.
The basement in this Oakville
home was completely unfinished
and offered a blank canvas. The
homeowners had purchased the
home as a future retirement
residence. They currently reside
in Ohio for work, and also have a
vacation home in Arizona. In addition to space for
entertaining and relaxing, the
homeowners also wanted a gym
for exercise with a full bathroom
close by. The husband had
always dreamed of having a
wine room so that made the
wish list as well.
The goal with the basement
design was to create a space
where they could relax and
watch TV but could also
entertain friends and family for
seasonal get togethers. The design for this space was
inspired by the homeowners love
for their home in Arizona.
Fabrics were chosen with a
southwest, Navajo feel in mind
to create a look that would feel
like it could be found in Arizona!
