MVP Award

The voting for the MVP is afterthe regular season,but we dont know who is the winner until the world series is done. This award has the name of BBWAA in honor of the first MLB commissioner.Who served for 24 years to the Major League Baseball.

The position that has won most MVPs for infielders is first baseman,with 34winners. In the second place is second baseman with 16, followed by third baseman and short stops with 15. The pitchers have won the award 24 times, 15 are right handed and 9 are left handed.

Only 3 players have won in different positions,while Alex Rodrigrez is the only player who has won the award with two different teams at two different positions.

Barry Bonds is the "Daddy" of the MVPs because he won the award 7 times and the most consecutively too (3 years running).

The team that has the most winning players is The New York Yankees with 22,there are 5 teams that never had a winner of this award. Just one player won the award in both leagues.

The first awared was in 1931. In the last season the winners were Clayton Kershaw for the National League and Mike Trout for the American League.
