BARP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Barbados Diabetes Foundation and the Heart
& Stroke Foundation at the Maria Holder Diabetes Centre for the Caribbean, Warrens, St Michael. BARP President, Edward Bushell affirmed that this united approach would sensitise Barbadians, especially BARP’s 44,000
members, of management programmes in the screening and monitoring of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
BARP firmly believes that a healthy nation is necessary for increased productivity and economic growth.

BARP in association with the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Barbados Diabetes Foundation and Seven Seas presented “Keys to a healthy heart 2” at the Main Guard, Garrison.
Informative presentations were given by Gina Pitts, CEO, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Carla Ramsay, Nutritional
Specialist and Dr Diane Brathwaite.
