BARP
Is On The Move!
W
elcome to the BARP on the Move E-newsletter which we
hope will provide you with updates on BARP’s news and current
affairs as well as articles relating to advocacy, active ageing,
health and wellness, retirement and fitness. This E-newsletter
will be published quarterly and is intended to supplement our
other communications channels.
As BARP continues to grow, not only in membership, but
also in our widening responsibility as the voice of the over 50
population in Barbados, we are being called upon to represent
your interests at the national and international level.
We have recently reconstituted our committees with new terms
of reference and already, they have started on their several
tasks to improve our service to you.
What’s
New!
With the help of these twelve committees, we will be intensifying
our advocacy on issues that affect you; the continued push
for improved and affordable health care through our relevant
partnerships as well as to be more active in the area of
consumer protection.
By the time you have read this our first newsletter, we should
be well on our way to acquiring new Headquarters which will
serve our purposes well into the future and relieve the growing
pressures at our present location.
We hope that you enjoy the first issue of the BARP on the
Move E-newsletter and we invite your contributions by way of
suggestions or articles. Comments and suggestions can be
emailed to [email protected].
Best Regards,
Edward S. Bushell
