Osbert Lancaster's musings can be read on his blog

He's also custodian of the Forth Dinghy Pilot Blog

Forth Dinghy Pilot

Is a highly detailed and comprehensive guide to the coast from the East Neuk (corner) of Fife to Dunbar, the islands, harbours, beaches and launching sites along the Firty of Forth. The site was originally established by Ed Wingfield. Osbert is now the custodian.

It's an inspiring layout for anyone wanting to do a similar guide to a coastline, river or lake. These guides are particularly useful for areas with shipping lanes and significant port activity.
