In a light wind back
the fores’sl by
pushing the boom
out with your hand
Mizzen sheet
eased so mizzen
luffs
Beam Reach
Command: “Prepare to
bear away!”
then: “Ease Sheets!”
next, ease the
fores’l sheet
First set the course with the
helm
Next adjust the
mizzen sheet
to give a slight
weather helm
lastly, ease the mizzen sheet,
adjust for slight mizzen helm
