The thought of a haunted house probably gives you the chills, but what if you were actually in one, what would you think then? Taryn and Cierra were about experience the horror.

The Big Mistake

“Hey, Cierra! I heard that the house on the hill has the best candy!” Taryn shouted.

“Well maybe we can stop by first, so we can get the good candy before its gone.” What they didn’t realize is that the house on the hill is called “Death Hill” and has been abandoned for decades. It was also the place of a murder in 1925.

Trapped

Taryn and Cierra got into their costumes and headed of the the house on the hill. Most people call it death hill, but Taryn and Cierra thought “ghosts” were just a story told to scare you.

As they headed up the hill they heard a few noises but they kept on walking anyway. When Cierra knocked on the door it opened on its own. They decided to walk in,

“Hello, is anyone ho-” Taryn didn’t even finish her sentence due to the fact that the door had slammed behind them,

“Oh - no, the door shut and locked behind us, how are we going to get out of here now?” Cierra exclaimed.

“I don’t know but we better get out fast because it is getting late and there won’t be any candy left!” Taryn replied in fear.

The House

on its own. They decided to walk in,

“Hello, is anyone ho-” Taryn didn’t even finish her sentence due to the fact that the door had slammed behind them,

“Oh no. The door shut and locked behind us. How are we going to get out of here now?” Cierra exclaimed.

“I don’t know but we better get out fast because it is getting late and there won’t be any candy left!” Taryn replied in fear.

The Noise

The two girls started to walk upstairs, They heard a sound getting louder and louder as if it was chasing them, They ran upstairs as fast as they could

so “the noise” couldn’t get to them. They ran into a room and went to lock the door, When they realized there was no lock, they decided to hold the door back. One thing about Taryn and Cierra is that they are not that strong, so holding a door shut is not one of their best qualities! They sat on the floor for about five minutes then decided to get up and take a look around the house.

What’s This?

Cierra and Taryn walked down the stair case and into what looked like a kitchen and saw something on the table, it was an old newspaper from October 31, 1925.

“Umm, Cierra I think I found something!” Taryn shrieked. Cierra sprinted to see what Taryn has found.

“Cierra, this says that there was a murder in this very house on October 31, 1925!” Taryn read.

“Ummm Taryn October 31 is Halloween, TONIGHT IS HALLOWEEN!!” Cierra screamed in fear.

“Cierra, I think I know why people call it “Death Hill”.

"I don’t want to be the next to die in this house!” Taryn shrieked.

Out of the corner of Cierra’s eyes, she saw something.

“Hey Taryn, look over there, its an old air vent, maybe it leads to freedom…”
