Though there were only fourteen acts in this after-school show, the amount of talent was extraordinary. You could easily see with every passing performance that these musicians and stars put hours of work and effort into their acts. An eighth-grade girl sang and played the guitar, while another sang a Broadway song with such skill that it reverberated throughout the entire school and could be heard from several hallways away. I myself was part of the Idol cast, and I am proud to say that it was a pleasure to be a performer in the eleventh annual Barkalow Idol, and that I highly recommend that any of you reading this who want to try out go ahead and try. I look forward to seeing you in the twelfth annual Idol!
