The year is almost coming to a close and it has been a great year for barbers worldwide. Barbers Only Magazine has been doing its best to keep up with the ever-changing barber landscape. From social media marketing, instructional videos, products and new technology; BOM is here to help promote innovation and creativity in the barber culture.
We had a chance to interview one of the legends in the game, Stacey Kutz; she showed us what it takes to be a REAL Hollywood Master Barber. Andis Clipper Corporation also kept us abreast of their summer events and how they combined music and clipper cutting. The barbershop topics this year ranged from domestic battery in sports to Ferguson, Missouri. As a prominent part of every community, barbershop opinions matter. You may agree or disagree but you have to respect it. We touched on the Ferguson scenario and its impact to the culture. We also headed out to the West Coast and got to chop it up with JC the barber; one of the prominent groomers in the world of sports. Our 2nd annual BOM 50 list was released and it’s powerful impact once again shook up the barber industry. One of the most popular cuts of the year was the Comb Over. Our Nice Crispy section showed some of our favorites. Speaking of favorites, our annual BOM Wish List is one of our barbershop favorites. For those who want to take care of their favorite groomer during the holiday, Barbers Only Magazine makes it easy for you.
Our goal this year was to reach out to more barbers and reinvent the barber publication. We were the first, but we still grind like we just came out. A few years ago, there were very few hair shows that had a barber education element to it. Now, every show makes sure they represent for the barbers. The industry is finally realizing the importance of the master barber. The product manufacturers are following suit; along with the entertainment industry. That’s where we come in; impacting the culture. Follow us into 2015; the industry awaits.
Keep cutting...
