Media Coverage Has
Been Nothing Less
Than Awesome
I had the pleasure of doing major,
local events but none other than the
annual French Quarter Festival
i
t all started with me paying for every event that I attended. I was going
with my camera, my notepad, my business cards and my magazines,
talking about "I'm media". Well, I used to see everyone else with me-
dia access to different events. I always wondered how they get in every
event or do they pay for all these events. I remember asking someone
about media access and they never responded...wait I asked them how
do they always get media access and they never responded. You see the difference.
Nevertheless, I was determined to find out. The people that I knew was not media
and they did not really know, it was always a "hook up", if you know what I mean.
I really don't like to operate like that because it's too sloppy and you find yourself
waiting around, looking crazy, hoping that someone that you know don't see you or
even getting rejected and being embarrassed. I went to Google and they cured me.
I started going to every event's page and filling out the media applications. At first, I
doubted myself and my brand and started off small, then I tried a bigger event and I
recieved access. I was so excited, but the thing is that your media platform has to be
legit. I have the website, the magazine and the license, therefore I was official. This
picture was actually taken at the 2018 French Quarter Festival in New Orleans. B
