New Orleans is stereotyped for being a city
that practices Voo-Doo. Superstitions are
very common in the big easy and are truly
practiced. There are a number of superstitions around the world, however New Orleans seem to have some of their own. Just to
name a few....
1. If you let a broom sweep across
your feet, be sure to spit on it because if not, you will go to jail.
2. When walking with someone and
there is a pole on the route...please
don't split it because you will have
bad luck.
3. It's said that if you break a mirror,
you are will have bad luck for the
next seven years.

4. A black cat...you better not cross it
because once again, you will have bad
luck.
5. Guys are skeptical of eating a
woman's red gravy (meatballs &
spaghetti) lets just say that a woman has a special love potion.
6. An umbrella is commonly used
for protecting you from the rain...
therefore don't open it in the
house because you will have bad
luck.
7. When passing by a church,
be sure to make the sign of the
cross...maybe because if you
don't...you'll get struck down.
8. If you drop a spoon while
cooking, rumor has it that someone hungry is coming over.
