Get More Personal Energy:
Easy Habits for 2016
By Joseph Rutakangwa
Few
people realize how much you can impact and boost your energy
levels by consciously investing in them. Investing in energy has
a higher impact than focusing on managing your time, because, unlike time,
energy is a source we can enlarge. Being active enables you to meet the demands
of work, life and family, even though the hours available to you remain scarce.

Keep a holistic outlook
When you’re stressed out, force yourself to look up and think of the big picture. While
it’s important that you perform today, it’s, even more, important that you continue
performing over the next many years. As such, life is a marathon, not a sprint. Thinking
of the long run will help you cut out some of the worst energy draining decisions,
where you push yourself over the edge. Rather than compartmentalizing parts of your
life, start noticing how to work, personal matters and interests all impact your energy
as one whole person, and make wise decisions accordingly.
