BANQUET CAPTAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
• Support Catering and Events Leaders in managing banquets and club events , ensuring food and service quality meets standards .
• Review BEOs and room setup sheets to set tables and assign sections as needed .
• Attend and occasionally lead pre-shift meetings .
• Have full knowledge of the banquet menu and serve food and beverages to guests .
• Properly present , open , and serve wine , while training team members to do the same .
• Be proficient in the F & B POS system and train others on its use .
• Communicate any food service issues to Catering and Events Leaders .
• Assist with opening / closing duties and participate in special setups ( buffets , displays , etc .).
• Train , motivate , and enforce policies , side work tasks , and procedures .
• Ensure team members complete side work at the end of shifts .
• Close and secure the building when needed .
