Now mum and Mike are married , they ’ re concentrating on their careers – Sharon now has a small workshop for her cushion business , and Mike is teaching PE at a different school . So Millie and Lauren see less of them . Dad and Amber have moved even further afield – to Spain , for dad ’ s work , taking their new baby but leaving Fran and Jake in the care of their grandma , Amber ’ s rather old-school mum Flora .

Lauren has a boyfriend , the over-eager Declan , and into this mix comes Leo – a distant teenage cousin of Mike ’ s who ’ s come to spend six months at the local football academy .
