reputation Era: Solved Even within the reputation era, Taylor has left clues for her 7th album. While she is dancing in the subway station in the “Delicate” music video, a pole in the background has the words “Track 5” spray-painted on it, hinting at track 5 on Lover, “The Archer.” The music video also has some parallels to the lyrics of “The Archer” which very well could be a hint to Track 5 off of Lover. Within the music video, Taylor cannot be seen by anyone. She is practically invisible, even to herself. This plot parallels the lyrics, “They see right through me” and “I see right through me” from “The Archer.” Taylor even hinted at her future “metamorphosis” and brighter concept during the Reputation Stadium Tour. Each night, Taylor dedicated the song “Dress” to Loie Fuller who was a pioneer in modern dance. One of her most famous pieces was called “Serpentine Dance” which hints at Taylor’s snake motif during the reputation era. Another famous piece was called “Butterfly Dance” which is the motif during the Lover era. This is one of the first examples of Taylor expressing her “metamorphosis” that has been shown throughout this new pastel era. Leaving easter eggs for fans to finds has become somewhat of a tradition for Taylor. These clues add more depth to the whole music experience, making it beyond the music. Even though fans may get frustrated trying to solve them, these clues make the eras more fun and exciting. Have you been able to solve Taylor’s easter eggs? 22
