The Journal of Southern Hemisphere Earth Science Systems ( JSHESS ) has undergone a significant make-over . CSIRO Publishing is now the official publisher , and will be working with the Bureau and AMOS to present a more accessible and impactful journal . Our goal is that the community will embrace and make JSHESS the Journal of Choice for our sciences .
Steven Siems remains as the Editor and Greg Ayers continues his role as the Editor-in-Chief . Bertrand Timbal has stepped up to take on the role as Chair of the JSHESS Board , and we thank the outgoing Chair Beth Ebert for her fantastic contributions , and Peter May who as Chair before Beth instigated the revitalisation of the Journal . We also thank Mary Voice , the previous AMOS representative on the JSHESS Board , who helped drive the changes at JSHESS to get to this new and exciting point .
JSHESS is free for authors to publish in . The costs of publication are covered by the Bureau and AMOS , removing a significant barrier .
