BAMOS Dec 2017 Expressions of interest BAMOS Editor Are you passionate about weather and ocean sciences, and science communication? Want to work with one of Australia’s best professional scientific societies? The Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) is looking for an Editor for the AMOS Bulletin. The Bulletin is an online publication released every quarter that reaches across Australia and beyond. As Editor, you will have: t t t t t t Excellent written and oral communication skills Great time management skills and the ability to work to a deadline The ability to coordinate a team Experience in designing and producing online publications A good eye for detail The ability to network and proactively find relevant content for publication We anticipate that you will also have: t Experience using Adobe InDesign (or agreed equivalent) t A broad general knowledge of Australian meteorology (weather and climate), oceanography and/or related sciences Commencement date: February 2018 for training/handover and first published issue in March. Contract: One year with opportunity to extend, payment $10,000 total for four issues (each issue invoiced separately).
