Pearman Lecture
This year’s Pearman Lecture was more about communication
and strategy than correlation and significance, which was very
well received. Dr Karl Braganza from the Bureau shared his
experience of delivering the 2016 State of the Climate report.
Afterwards on the volleyball court, Friday afternoon drizzle did
nothing to dampen spirits at the annual Pearman Cup.

Climate + art = change?
AMOS members Joëlle Gergis and Penny Whetton recently
provided scientific context to an exhibition as part of the
CLIMARTE festival in Melbourne. In this issue they discuss
the sometimes confronting process of adding scientific
commentary to art pieces that represent a changing world.
