Daniel Sales receives the 2020 AMOS Physics Award from the AMOS NT Regional Centre Chair , Ian Shepherd .

In the mid-2000s , AMOS established two student awards for each of its State and Territory centres . Each award includes $ 250 and free AMOS membership .

Northern Territory

Since 2007 , one of these awards is conferred each year as the AMOS Physics Award by the Northern Territory ( NT ) Board of Studies . The award is presented to the year 12 student with the top grade in Stage 2 Physics in the NT . Their grade must be an A- or higher .

The 2020 ceremony was held in the Auditorium at the Darwin Convention Centre on Friday 12 February 2021 .

Australian Capital Territory

Each year , the ACT AMOS Executive decides on a third year student prize winner . The winner is chosen based on the marks they achieved in the course , endorsement from the supervisor and a description of the importance of the prize to the applicant and what it might motivate if they were successful recipients . Given the nominations for 2020 were outstanding , the 2020 AMOS 3rd Year Prize was jointly won by :
