into. I focus on cleaner foods that contribute in a
positive way towards life, allowing my mind and
body to focus with more clarity, a more Paleolithic
food source as our ancestors would have lived
thousands of years ago. This means eating natural
organic fruit and vegetables that grow with no
fertilizers or chemicals and meat from animals that
feed from natural sources also without chemicals.
This is how it was before mass production took over.
Regularly purging your body with fresh nutrients by
juicing and smoothies with fresh organic fruit and
vegetables is a great way to create new healthy habits
that packs a real nutritional punch, energy boost and
protection of the bodies natural immune system.
All our training and challenges are built on eating
fruit, vegetables, grass fed meat, nuts, reduced dairy

tougher and external for training with coaches and a
team ethos. I joined CrossFit locally and love that
you just turn up and follow the programme that is set
out for you. It is especially great for maintaining core
strength during the colder winter months. I still

endurance strength and mental toughness remains
at a good level.
Yoga
The most recent addition to our training regime
came last year training for ‘Race to Space’ requiring
over 100,000ft climbing on our bikes on Mount
Ventoux. Our goal was to improve concentration,
flexibility and the ability to to relax whilst cycling on
steep intense climbs for mile after mile. We were
novices again but received great support from Yoga
Wellbeing in Keighley and The Yoga Barre in Ilkley. If
only I had got into Yoga at an earlier age, it definitely
changes lives, it brings fitness together with the
different aspects of training in a very special way,
creating flexibility, stretching and mind relaxation.
