FLAG HIGH IN MAURITIUS
The Beyond Bricks Foundation is incredibly proud of Cassidy Sinclair, who recently represented South Africa at the Africa Aquatics & Zone IV Open Water Swimming Championships held at Mont Choisy Beach in Mauritius on 6 – 7 June 2026.
Cassidy was selected as part of the South African Open Water Swimming Team, earning her place among the country’ s top open water athletes.
Representing your country on the international stage is a remarkable achievement, and Cassidy embraced the opportunity with passion, determination, and pride. Competing against some of the continent’ s strongest swimmers, she not only showcased her talent in the water but also embodied the spirit of South African sport through sportsmanship, resilience, and camaraderie.
Reflecting on the experience, Cassidy said:
“ It was an incredible honour to represent South Africa at the
Africa Aquatics Zone IV Open Water Championship in Mauritius. Competing in Team SA colours, meeting athletes from across Africa, and building friendships through our shared love of swimming made this a truly unforgettable experience. I am proud to have represented my country and grateful for every moment of the journey.”
Cassidy’ s achievement is an inspiration to young athletes across South Africa and a reminder of what is possible through dedication, hard work, and a love for sport. We congratulate her on this incredible milestone and look forward to following her future successes in the pool and beyond.
