MESSAGE FROM THE RACE DIRECTOR
Dear Runners
Last year saw us bring back the beloved Jeppe Marathon , an event that has seen me through more than a quarter of my life , having been race director for the last 18 years . I have been through more challenges and victories than I can count , but year after year I come back , learning and growing more . This race would not be what it is without you the runner , so my first thank you will always be to you .
Balwin Sport brought this event back to life last year , and has continued to show their commitment to road running by investing more and more in the series , as well as bringing on partners to create so much more value . I can say with confidence that we offer so much value to you , the runner . I am hard-pressed to find a race that offers more , and it shows with how many have chosen us as their race of choice .
We hope that you enjoy your experience with us and all the added value that we have included . Please tell your friends who didn ’ t enter this year about your experience and that we hope to see them next year where we will be hoping to offer an even better event .

To every volunteer , marshall , and club member who will be assisting this weekend , I would like to thank you . This event would not be possible without you , no matter how big or small your role , everyone does what they need to do to make our event successful and I am so grateful .
The Jeppe Quondam Club was founded in 1907 and the Athletics Section in 1978 . The Club has been a prominent landmark in Bedfordview since 1939 . Keep a look out at the 2km mark for the club on your left-hand side . With this great history and tradition , our club will continue to offer a premier race on the Central Gauteng road running calendar for many years to come thanks to our new sponsor Balwin Sport .
