NUMBER COLLECTION
Collect your race number and any merchandise from the race number collection venues listed below . Please be sure to bring the race number confirmation e-mail with you to Number Collection .
• Friday 15 March , from 12h00 – 17h00 – Amphitheatre , Durban Promenade , in front of the Elangeni Hotel 63 Snell Parade , North Beach , Durban
• Saturday 16 March , from 10h00 – 17h00 – Amphitheatre , Durban Promenade , in front of the Elangeni Hotel 63 Snell Parade , North Beach , Durban
Collecting for Others : Entrants will be able to collect race numbers for fellow runners provided they bring a copy of the fellow runner ’ s race number confirmation e-mail and ID .
5km Fun Run , entries will be available at race registration
NO RACE PACK COLLECTION AT THE START .
Temporary Licences ( 10km & 21km only ) Runners who are not registered with a club and running province must have purchased a temporary licence , costing R100 ( 21km ) or R80 ( 10km ). A temporary license means those runners are now eligible for insurance from ASA for the duration of the race only . This means it is vital to complete the tear-off strip on the number and this must be deposited into the collection boxes at the end of the race , before you leave the finish tent . Runners failing to complete the slip or deposit it in the collection box will not be covered by the insurance .

Here ’ s all the important information you need ahead of running the Balwin Sport Dolphin Coast Marathon and Half Marathon on 17 March .
BUS SERVICE
Bus transport will be available from the Finish Venue to the Starts of the three Races . Busses leave from 03H00 from behind the Tourism Office on Marine Parade . Bus Tickets are R150 , and can be purchased online or at Registration .

PARKING NOTES
There is a range of public parking options available along the promenade , general public parking lots as well as street parking . For a detailed map of parking options please see pg 10 .
Please note that all parking is at own risk .
THE START
The start of the 42km will be at the Lifestyle centre on Ballito Drive , and the gun will off at 05h00 sharp .
The start of the 21km will be at Sibaya Casino , 1 Sibaya Dr Umhlanga Rocks , Durban , and the gun will off at 05h30 sharp .
The start of the 10km will be Virginia Sports Ground , and the gun will off at 05h30 sharp .
The 5km Fun Run start is at the Amphitheater , on the Durban Promenade , the run will start at 07h00 .
WATER POINTS
There will be 13 water points along the entire route , all fully stocked with water , Coca-Cola and ice . There are also portaloos , placed along the route .
Stash Your Trash ! Please make sure you throw your left-over cups or water sachets into the bins provided at the water points .
TIMING
Please note that your timing chip is on your race number , you do not need to wear a chip on your shoe . Please do not bend your race number .
Please remember that the marathon race is timed mat-to-mat , and both your Net and Gun Times will be available in your result . Your marathon , net ( mat-to-mat ) tcan ve sent to Comrades Marathon for consideration as your qualifying time . Should you not cross the start mat , you will only be given a gun-to-finish-mat time . You must cross the start mat within 10 minutes of the starting gun in order to be an official starter in the race . As per IAAF and ASA Rules prizes will be awarded strictly on gun-to-finish-mat time . The half marathon is timed gun-to-mat . Please note that there are no seeding batches and the faster runners are encouraged to arrive early and take their position towards the front
The 21km and 10km will be gun-to-mat time .
