Honesty Seeding at the Start Line: We use an honesty seeding system at the start of the marathon and half marathon.
Please line up behind one of the three appropriate boards: Board One: 42km: Sub 3:10 & 21km – Sub 1:40 Board Two: 42km: Sub 3:45 & 21km – Sub 2:00 Board Three: 42km: Sub 4:20 & 21km – Sub 2:20
CUT-OFF TIMES
The official cut-off time for Half Marathon is 3.5 hours. The Marathon’ s cut-off time is 6 hours. For your own safety, the following cutoffs will be enforced on the Marathon route.
• 18km at 2 hours 45min
• 34km at 5 hours
• 37km at 5 hours 30 min
• 39km at 6 hours
THE FINISH
Once you are over the finish line, you will receive your commemorative medal. You will also receive cold water. The Finish Venue for all races is the Saheti School in Senderwood.
Club Gazebos are welcome. Setup needs to be done the day before the race, Saturday the 19 th of September, opening at 08h00, it will be a first-come-first serve basis.
There will be public vendors selling food and cool drinks, so bring some cash and grab lunch while watching your teammates finish.
MEDICAL MATTERS & EMERGENCIES
Medi Response are our medical support provider and will provide roving ambulances and a medical tent at the finish venue. If you feel ill at the finish, you should visit the medics for a quick checkup.
Note: Do not run if you are feeling ill or have the flu. Please consult your doctor before participating in our event if you have any preexisting conditions. PERSONAL SAFETY NOTICE
There have been incidents of bag tampering at events. The organisers ask that you please be aware of the people around you and keep your bag close to you on the front of your body. If you notice any person tampering with bags, please notify us immediately. For extra safety, we suggest you drop your bags off at our secured Tog Bag area – look out for the directional signage on race day.
