A walk through the city’ s busiest neighborhood reveals a number of architectural treasures. There’ s no missing the golden-hour glint off the copper and gold roof of 10 Light Street, an Art Deco skyscraper dated to 1929, or the Baltimore & Ohio Warehouse at Camden Yards, which was constructed in 1899 to house train freight and is now an iconic part of Oriole Park. Head west and you’ ll find Baltimore City Hall and Phoenix Shot Tower. City Hall, completed in 1875, is an example of Victorian Second Empire architecture and was brought to life using locally sourced marble. The Shot Tower, which used to manufacture shot for weapons, was the tallest building in the country when it was built in 1828 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
