Those wanting to hear live music in a more familyfriendly atmosphere can do so at Charm City Bluegrass Festival . This year ’ s festival takes place May 3-4 at Baltimore Peninsula and offers the city ’ s best in bluegrass , Americana , folk and acoustic music .
On June 10-16 , Baltimore Pride provides a week-long celebration of the city ’ s queer community . In addition to the annual parade and block party , the largest LGBTQ + event in Maryland typically includes a family-friendly festival in Druid Hill Park with multiple stages for dancers , singers and drag artists , a designated family pride section , and booths from dozens of local makers , designers and small businesses .
Give summer a proper sendoff at Charm City Live on Sept . 21 . The free downtown music and arts festival features a designated kid ’ s zone as well as food trucks and vendor booths .
Returning August 2-4 this year , Artscape is the country ’ s largest free outdoor arts festival . The three-daylong event consists of art exhibitions , performances , workshops , an interactive kids ’ zone and so much more .
As much as we love a good party , sometimes we ’ re in the mood for a more relaxed evening . Located in West Shore Park in the Inner Harbor , the Wine Village invites you to grab a glass of wine or frozen wine slushie and take in the sunset over the water . On select evenings from May 9-27 , enjoy musical acts and movie nights .
Other casual outdoor spaces to hang out and enjoy a drink include Hampden Yards , whose robust menu ranges from specialty cocktails to locally brewed beers , and Bark Social , a dog park / human bar hybrid — pet-less patrons get in for free , and there are plenty of food and drink options to pick from .

It may be hard to believe , but these pages only scratch the surface when it comes to describing Baltimore ’ s great outdoors , and our green scene is always expanding . Looking to the future , we ’ re excited about promising new additions to the National Aquarium and Harborplace , plus the improving health of the Patapsco River and the Chesapeake Bay from which it stems . Whether you ’ re an adventurer , an athlete , a festival fiend or a foodie , we hope you ’ ll spend these warmer months taking advantage of Baltimore ’ s lush lawns , lively music scene and , of course , our gorgeous waterfront .
