Recently reopened after a nearly $ 17 million renovation , Rash Field Park in the Inner Harbor is at the top of the must-do list in Baltimore . It ’ s got a little something for everyone to enjoy . If you have kids , check out Adventure Park , a playground featuring two 30-foot-high wooden towers , or explore a nature play space outfitted with native gardens , secret pathways and fallen logs . Both spaces were designed in collaboration with the Natural Learning Initiative , a leader in childhood development . Older kids ( and kids at heart ) may want to check out Jake ’ s Skate Park , named in honor of a skateboard-loving 5-year-old who was killed by a distracted driver in a 2011 car crash . It was designed by Grindline , one of the top concrete skatepark design companies worldwide , and features a large bowl , mini ramps , rails , ledges and transfers that accommodate skaters of all ages and abilities .
Rash Field also offers three ways to take in its gorgeous waterfront views . Sit on the porch swings that overlook the harbor from under the stunning glass pavilion designed by acclaimed architects
Gensler , or head atop the pavilion , where a green-roof overlook offers curved pathways and killer views .
